The Honda CR 250 R model is a Cross / motocross bike manufactured by Honda. I change every 2 rides and it never gets black. When I rebuild my engines and get all that 20 year old crude out of them, the new oil comes out looking new after every 2 rides. I would do a few changes and flushes over the course of a hour or so if it is that black, otherwise the new oil wont be new for more than 2 days and be cruddy again. If he has not changed the oil frequently, it will come out black as crude. Then I snug the bolt, put the cap on an run it for about a minute then recheck and refill after it sits for 2 minutes. Once I see it seeping out the check hole I loosely throw the plug in, and bump the kicker over by hand a few times to get the oil up on the gears and clutch basket, let it sit for 45 seconds, then remove the check plug and refill again till it seeps out. The next generation landed in 1983 and sold through 1984, it included improved suspension and brakes, now fitted with Honda Pro-Link suspension offering 8.7 inches front travel and 8.1 inches in the rear, with disc brakes front and rear as standard. When you start pouring the oil in, Pour it slow or it splashes out the check hole too fast, and you will think it is full. You will get about another 2 shot glasses of old oil still stuck in the cases that way. When you are draining them, once they start to trickle and look empty, tip the trike on the side some, then back the other way a few times then re level the trike. In other words, just a fuzz over 3/4 of a qt usually does the oil change. I think that comes out to about 700-800 cc's.
